Graduate student, Erika Knight, is completing a master’s degree at the University of Washington School of Environmental and Forest Sciences. Her scientific interests include long-term soil productivity and biogeochemical cycling, fluvial geomorphology, water quality, and forest ecology.
Her work for NARA will help determine how biomass removal affects carbon and nutrient content in forest soils.
Erika earned a bachelor’s degree from the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Cornell University.
