Dr. Lianglei Qin is a post-doctoral researcher at Washington State University. His scientific interests include the synthesis and characterization of polymers— macromolecules that contain repeating structural units. His work for the NARA project involves developing commercially applicable materials, such as epoxy resins, from lignin, a complex chemical compound derived from wood.
Dr. Qin completed his doctorate in polymer physics and chemistry at the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Acadamy of Sciences, Beijing China. He obtained a master’s degree in polymer chemistry and physics and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry at Hebei University, Baoding China.
