As the Postdoctoral Scholar at the Center for Intensive Planted-Forest Silviculture at Oregon State University, Dr. Junhui Zhao’s research interests focus on forest growth and yield modeling. She is also interested in various statistical methods, remote sensing, GIS, climate change, and soil science.

Dr. Junhui Zhao will offer forest management knowledge to the sustainable feedstock production area of the NARA project. The primary focus of Dr. Zhao’s position is to conduct statistical analysis and modeling: tests for treatment effects in ANOVA; choice of model forms for regression modeling; application of mixed-effects models; simulation of forest growth and development with growth models.

Dr. Zhao earned her doctorate in forest management from Beijing Forestry University, China in 2010.
