Justin Hougham is assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin-Extension and serves as the director of the Upham Woods Outdoor Learning Center. Dr Hougham contributes towards NARA’s bioenergy literacy efforts.
His scholarship is in the areas of place-based pedagogies, STEM, Adventure Learning, and education for sustainability. Justin offers extensive leadership experience in experiential and environmental education programs. He is the co-coordinator for the Idaho Geographic Alliance, which works to advance geographic literacy through education, and worked with the University of Idaho’s McCall Outdoor Science School to promote bioenergy literacy.
He holds a Ph.D. in education from Washington State University, emphasizing in sustainability and natural resource education.
