Todd Beyreuther, PE, Interim Director of the Integrated Design Lab-Inland Northwest and Clinical Assistant Professor in the School of Architecture and Construction Management, teaches interdisciplinary design studios on the Washington State University Pullman and Spokane campuses. Beyreuther conducts research at the Interdisciplinary Design Institute (IDI) at WSU Spokane and the Institute for Sustainable Design (ISD) at WSU Pullman in areas of interdisciplinary and open-source design methodologies, integrated building and infrastructure systems design, and interactive and flexible architectural environments. Since 2009, he has been a significant contributor and instructor for the Integrated Design Experience (IDeX) studio within the ISD that teaches collaboration around large-scale, complex real-world projects to undergraduate and graduate students of architecture, engineering, construction management, and agriculture.

Prior to joining Washington State University in 2008, Beyreuther practiced as a structural engineer in Seattle, WA. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Washington and has also taught at the University of Washington in the College of Built Environments. Beyreuther received a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1999 and a Master of Architecture from the University of Washington in 2008.
